Halloween 2013

For Halloween this year Ellie wanted to be a cat….not just any cat but a WHITE cat.  She saw the kitty costume in Pottery Barn Kids and didn't stop talking about it for over a month.  I tried to get her to like other cat costumes (cheetah, black and white, etc) mainly because they were all significantly cheaper than the white kitty!  I also thought it would be easy to find a different WHITE costume but apparently not.  I waited until I had a coupon and just about missed out…all they had left was a size smaller than I would have typically ordered her! It was a LITTLE short but we made do with some thicker leggings.  I have to say it was pretty cute!

She had a carnival and party at school on Wednesday.  On Halloween we went to our local high school…if you donate a bag of candy you can trick or treat the hallways and then they have a carnival at the end for the kids!  She LOVED the bounce houses, bowling and the fishing game!  We had a great time and it starts early so we were still able to come home and pass out candy.

A Day Out With Thomas

A few weeks ago while Steven was away at the OU vs Notre Dame game Ellie and I went to the Oklahoma Railway Museum for a Day Out With Thomas.  I had heard from a few different people that the event was a little unorganized and a lot overpriced.  I am going to have to agree!!  I had discount coupons so it was a fun treat but not something I think we will be doing again! After Thomas we enjoyed lunch at Saturn Grill one of our absolute favorites!

Ellie's First Field Trip

Last Friday Ellie's school had a field trip to the fire station here in town!  Since she is just in the three year old class all parents were required to attend with their child! To say we had fun would be an understatement! She loved climbing in the trucks, ringing the bell on the front and listen to them talk about their gear and how they wear it!  Thankfully it was cool this morning so we didn't roast in the heat!

This fake cheese face is the look I'm getting these days when I try to take her pic!  She was STARVING when we left the fire station....apparently so much so that she needed to eat the grapes at the grocery store!  She took the best nap that afternoon....I mean just look at that hair and ornery face must be the sign of a good nap!

Preschool II

Ellie started her first day as a three year old in Preschool II at Yukon Kids First. This is the same school that she went to their two year old program for a few months earlier this year. Yukon Kids First is at Yukon First United Methodist Church and they have a program that goes from 2 all the way through Kindergarten! She goes to school M, W and F just in the mornings! As I attempted to take a back to school pictures these out takes were the best I could get!

Stella & Dot and A Lavender Lining
